New Zealand is an idyllic country for adventure enthusiasts with its lofty mountains, huge rocky gorges, lakes and infinite open spaces. Rent A Campervan in New Zealand and set out on an exciting adventure-filled holiday. Being an extreme sports freak, I had to listen to the call and thus planned my next holiday in New Zealand.
In its contemporary form, Bungee jumping originated in New Zealand which is why it was the perfect way to initiate my New Zealand Holiday. I was amazed by the wide array of adventure activities on offer, such as white water rafting, jet boating, skydiving, heli bungee, heliskiing, zorbing, snowboarding, abseiling, canyoning, snow kiting and rock climbing. Enjoy the simpler activities too, such as cycling, kayaking, trekking and mountain biking.
This was my adventure-filled itinerary for a Campervan Holiday in the South Island of New Zealand.
Day 1: On the first day, I visited Wellington in the North Island with my Campervan. After that, I set out across the Cook Strait between the Marlborough Sounds in the direction of Nelson. On the way, I indulged in a bit of kayaking, fishing and wreck diving.
Day 2 & 3: On the second and third day, I set out towards Abel Tasman National Park with Campervan New Zealand. An integral part of any New Zealand Holiday, I enjoyed the days in the Abel Tasman National Park walking and kayaking in breathtakingly beautiful surroundings.
Day 4, 5, 6: I set out in the direction of the Franz Joseph Glacier through the blowholes at Punakaiki. As I passed Punakaiki towards Franz Josef I halted at the Pancake Rocks, impressive eroded rock formations. I spent a couple of days around the glacier enjoying exciting activities such as ice climbing, cross country quad biking and rafting on the river. You can also attempt heli-hiking where you work your way up after which you are lifted down over stunning vistas. This is definitely a highlight of your New Zealand Holiday.
Day 7: I set out towards Lake Wanaka with my New Zealand Campervan. For skiers, in winter Lake Wanaka is the finest destination for exciting winter sports in New Zealand. Skiers visit this region for cross country trails and snowboarders opt for the ice climbers and snow park.
Day 8, 9, 10: Explore Milford Sound and Queenstown with your Campervan. Queenstown has an amazing bungee jump and is also a preferred spot for skydiving! Attempt something new on your New Zealand Holiday on the Shotover Canyon Swing. Here, I attempted canyoning, high-wire-bungee-jumping and heli-mountain biking. In winter there are some extreme winter sports in Queenstown to keep you entertained. If you favour extreme water sports, visit Milford Sound with your Campervan, situated close by.
Day 11: Visit Lake Pukaki, Lake Tekapo and Mount Cook. Climbing the mighty Mt. Cook was another highlight of my New Zealand Holiday. This snowy peak offers spectacular views however for even more extreme views, attempt skydiving over her.
This was my itinerary for an exciting New Zealand Campervans Holiday. I had a great time on this particular trip, and definitely wish to revisit this region on my next holiday.
